One of the main objectives of our government is poverty alleviation. A major endeavor towards achieving this goal is through education. Towards this aim, this government has taken a number of steps, not just in expanding affordable education, but also in improving its quality through updating curricula and teacher training programmes. Yet, the Government has its limitations. It has therefore sought the due cooperation of the private sector.

The Punjab Group of Colleges has been one such organization that has gone a long way in promoting graduate and post graduate education. Over the years it has grown in stature and repute. I commend its commitment to education in searching to the roots.

In opening Resource Academia, the first of its planned high schools across the country, the Group’s intention is to make it an outstanding example of quality education. This should not just be comparable to the best in Pakistan, but recognized as such beyond the country’s borders. Fully aware of the Group’s track record, I can envision the realization of this goal in the near future and I wish all those involved in this endeavor, both faculty and students, a great success.
